1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website or use a web-based application. They enable the application to remember certain information about your session, such as whether you are signed in.
2. Our approach to cookies
EHForder uses only strictly necessary and functional cookies.
We do not use:
- Tracking cookies
- Analytics or statistics cookies
- Marketing or advertising cookies
- Third-party cookies of any kind
We do not build user profiles, track behaviour across sessions or websites, or share cookie data with third parties.
3. Cookies we use
The table below describes the cookies set by EHForder and their purpose.
| Name | Purpose | Domain | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| eo_session | Authenticates you as a tenant user. Cleared on sign-out or after 7 days of inactivity. | .ehforder.com | Strictly necessary | Up to 7 days |
| eo_admin_session | Authenticates Skiwo staff in the backstage admin. Not present for regular users. | .ehforder.com | Strictly necessary | Up to 3 days |
| _eo_mono_session | Rails session cookie. Holds short-lived state like the language you selected and where to send you after a redirect-after-sign-in. | .ehforder.com | Strictly necessary | Session (cleared when you close the browser) |
3a. Device fingerprint (not a cookie)
When you sign in, we derive a fingerprint of your browser by hashing two request headers (User-Agent and Accept-Language) with SHA-256 and store it server-side against your session row. If the same session cookie is later sent from a browser with a different fingerprint, we end the session and ask you to sign in again — defending against cookie-theft. The fingerprint is not stored in any cookie and never leaves our database.
4. Consent not required
Because we only use strictly necessary and functional cookies, we are not required under applicable regulations (including the EU ePrivacy Directive and applicable national laws) to obtain your prior consent before these cookies are set.
Strictly necessary cookies cannot be disabled without significantly impairing the functionality of the platform.
5. Managing cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Please note that disabling the session cookie will sign you out and prevent you from using the platform.
See your browser's help documentation for guidance on managing cookies.
6. Changes to this policy
If we introduce new cookies in the future, we will update this policy accordingly and, where required by law, obtain your consent. The current version is always available at www.ehforder.com/cookies.
7. Contact
If you have questions about our use of cookies, contact privacy@ehforder.com.
